Oct 04, 2020 The aggregate impact test is considered to be an important test to access the suitability of aggregates as regards the toughness for use in pavement construction. It has been found that for majority of aggregates, the aggregate crushing and aggregate impact values are numerically similar within close limits.
This test is repeated once or twice and the average crushing value of the aggregate is determined. The average crushing value in the different tests is the actual crushing value of aggregate. Important points to remember. It is recommended that the crushing value of aggregate should be less than 30%.
Related ProductOct 03, 2019 Aggregate Crushing value is a relative resistance of aggregates to crushing under gradually applied compressive load. Aggregate Crushing Value Test is important to test to be performed on aggregate. The strength of aggregate parent rock is determined by preparing cylindrical shape specimens of size 25 mm diameter and 25 mm height.
Related ProductAggregate Crushing Value and Its Test Procedure: One of the test in which concrete material can fail is due to crushing under compressive stress. Aggregate crushing test is standardized by IS: 2386 part-IV and used to verify the crushing strength of aggregates. The aggregates should be oven dried, which can passes through 12.5mm and retained on 10mm sieve.
